Vertou

Vertou is a commune in the department of the Loire-Atlantique and the Pays de la Loire region of France. It is a component of the metropolitan urban community of Nantes and is the fifth-largest suburb of the city of Nantes, lying just to the southeast of Nantes. According to the 1999 census, Vertou had a population of 20,268 inhabitants. Loire-Atlantique is a department on the west coast of France named after the Loire River and the Atlantic Ocean.
