Vallauris




France, officially the French Republic, is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and comprises various overseas islands and territories which are located in other regions. Metropolitan France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the English Channel and the North Sea, and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. At 674,843 square kilometres, France is the world's 40th-largest country after Myanmar. France is a member of The European Union and Paris is the capital of this nation. The sole official language of France is French. Since prehistoric times, France has been a crossroads of trade, migrations, and invasions.
 
Vallauris is a community in the department of Alpes-Maritimes and the province Alpes-Cote d’Azur region of France. It is situated in the metropolitan community of Agglomeration of Sophia-Antipolis, and is a suburb of the city of Antibes, bordering it on its west side. In the 1999 census, the city had a population of 25,773. Its inhabitants are called as Vallauriens.  The density of the city is 1976 per square kilometers and the city is elevated at 285 meters.
 
Today, this city is the only town of France where the tree is still cultured to collect its flower and to distil it. The industrial culinary pottery always was during centuries, with the work of the ground, the major activity of the city. Although, at the beginning of the XXth century, it became artistic and ceramic pottery, with the Massier family.
 
A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, luxurious hotels and cottages, Vallauris is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
