Tournefeuille is a community in the departement of Haute-Garonne and the Midi-Pyrenees region of France. It is the second-largest suburb of the city of Toulouse, and is neighboring to it on the western side. As a result, it is a member of the metropolitan Community of Agglomeration of Greater Toulouse. The city’s population as per the 1999 census was 22,758, density in 1999 was 1,252 per square kilometer and the land area is 18.17 square kilometers. The city is elevated at 140 meters. Haute-Garonne is a department in the southwest of France named after the Garonne River. Haute-Garonne was one of the original 83 departments created during the French Revolution on March 4th, 1790. It was created from part of the former province of Languedoc.
