Meyzieu
France, officially the French Republic, is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and comprises various overseas islands and territories which are located in other regions. Metropolitan France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the English Channel and the North Sea, and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. Meyzieu is a commune in the departement of Rhone and the Rhone-Alpes region of France. It is a suburb of the city of Lyon, and is located to its east-northeast side. It is a member of the metropolitan Urban Community of Lyon. In the 1999 census, Meyzieu had a population of twenty eight thousand and nine.
The River Rhone including French Rhone, Occitan Rose, Franco-Provencal Rono, standard German Rhone, Valais German Rotten, Italian Rodano all coming from Latin Rhodanus, are the major rivers of Europe, running through Switzerland and France.
