Talence

France, officially the French Republic, is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and comprises various overseas islands and territories which are located in other regions. Metropolitan France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the English Channel and the North Sea, and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. At 674,843 square kilometres, France is the world's 40th-largest country after Myanmar. France is a member of The European Union and Paris is the capital of this nation. The sole official language of France is French. Since prehistoric times, France has been a crossroads of trade, migrations, and invasions.

Talence is a commune in the department of Gironde and the Aquitaine region of France. It is the third-largest suburb of the city of Bordeaux, and is adjacent to it on the south side. Thus, it is a member of the metropolitan Urban Community of Bordeaux. In the 1999 census, Talence had a population of 37,210. Gironde is a department in the southwest of France named after the Gironde Estuary. Gironde was one of the original 83 departments created during the French Revolution on March 4, 1790. It was created from parts of the former provinces of Guyenne and Gascogne. With 10,000 square kilometres, Gironde is the largest department of metropolitan France.

Talence, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited place. It is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origin back to prehistoric times. Presently, Talence experiences a sharp social, economic and population growth derivative of the strategic position of the locality and the high level of well-being and quality of life that is enjoyed with respect to other places of France.
