Malakoff




France, officially the French Republic, is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and comprises various overseas islands and territories which are located in other regions. Metropolitan France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the English Channel and the North Sea and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. At 674,843 square kilometres, France is the world's 40th-largest country after Myanmar. France is a member of The European Union and Paris is the capital of this nation. The sole official language of France is French. Since prehistoric times, France has been a crossroads of trade, migrations, and invasions.
 
Malakoff is a community in the southwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 5 kilometers from the center of Paris. It is one of the most compactly populated municipalities in Europe. The community of Malakoff was created on November 8, 1883 by detaching its territory from the community of Vanves. Malakoff is served by two stations on Paris Metro line 13, Malakoff – Plateau de Vanves and Malakoff – Rue Etienne Dolet. In 1999, the population of the city was 29,402 and an area of 2.07 kilometers.
 
Malakoff is also served by Vanves–Malakoff station on the Transilien Paris– Montparnasse suburban rail line. This station is located at the border between the community of Malakoff and the community of Vanves, on the Vanves side of the border.
