Sevres
France, officially the French Republic, is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and comprises various overseas islands and territories which are located in other regions. Metropolitan France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the English Channel and the North Sea and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. At 674,843 square kilometers, France is the world's 40th-largest country after Myanmar. It is a member of the European Union and Paris is the capital of this nation.
Sevres is one of most popular destinations in France, and is well known for the quantity of cultural related attractions and monuments. It is a commune in the southwestern suburbs of Paris and is located only 9.9 kilometers from its center. The estate on which the Bureau is located is international territory outside of French sovereignty. As such it was not occupied by German troops during the Second World War.
The industrial development in and around Sevres has been a determining factor for its economic growth and population and although the industry is losing force in the last decades, the might of the sector services continues attracting new inhabitants in the city. Owing to this intense urbanization, Sevres is served by Sevres Rive Gauche station on the Transilien Paris-Montparnasse suburban rail line. It is also served by Sevres-Ville d'Avray station on the Transilien Paris-Saint Lazare suburban rail line.
