Laval
France, officially the French Republic, is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and comprises various overseas islands and territories which are located in other regions. Laval is a commune in the Mayenne department of France. It lies on the threshold of Brittany and on the border between Normandy and Anjou. Its citizens are called Lavallois. Mayenne is a department in northwest France named after the Mayenne River. Laval is located on the River Mayenne in the region called the Pays-de-la-Loire in north-west central France around the Loire Valley. It is the centre of an urban area of about 100,000 inhabitants.
