Frejus




France, officially the French Republic, is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and comprises various overseas islands and territories which are located in other regions. Frejus is a coastal town, and community, in the Var department, located in southern France. It neigbours Saint-Raphael, Var, efficiently forming one town. Also, it is part of the French Riviera. Its population in 2004 was 50,536. On December 2nd, 1959, the Malpasset Dam, on the Reyran River above Frejus, shattered, thus killing over 400 people.
