Forbach

Forbach is a town in south-western Germany and a commune in the Moselle department, in France. It is located near the German border and has a population of 22,784 inhabitants. When travelling by train between Germany and France, the station in Forbach is where Customs procedures were performed. The trains change from right-hand running in Germany to left-hand running in France. It is the home to the famous French singer, Patricia Kaas.
Moselle is a department in the northeast corner of France. It is named after the Moselle River and was one of the original 83 departments created during the French Revolution on March 4, 1790.
