Cenon

France, officially the French Republic, is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and comprises various overseas islands and territories which are located in other regions. Metropolitan France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the English Channel and the North Sea, and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. At 674,843 square kilometres, France is the world's 40th-largest country after Myanmar. France is a member of The European Union and Paris is the capital of this nation. The sole official language of France is French. Since prehistoric times, France has been a crossroads of trade, migrations, and invasions.

Cenon is a community in Gironde and the Aquitaine region of France. It is a suburb of the city of Bordeaux, and is adjacent to it on the east side. Thus, it is a member of the metropolitan Urban Community of Bordeaux. According to the 1999 poll, Cenon had a population of 21,283. Gironde is a departement in the southwest of France named after the Gironde Estuary.

Gironde was one of the original 83 departements created during the French Revolution on March 4, 1790. It was created from parts of the former provinces of Guyenne and Gascogne. From 1793 to 1795, the name was changed to Bec-d Ambes to avoid the association with the revolutionary party, the Girondins. The famous hotels in the city are Hotel Balladins Bordeaux Centre Confort, Citadines Apart hotel Bordeaux Meriadeck, Hotel Continental, Amarys Royal Saint Jean and Appart Valley Bordeaux. It is a city with endless recreational opportunities, rich history, and modern day luxuries.
